the new baby!

if you haven't heard, we are expecting baby #2 and here he/she is! no, we are not twenty weeks already, which would explain why we have an ultrasound picture already. actually, there was a discrepancy with how far along the baby was, which explains why we had one. before our first appointment last week, i thought i was about 7 1/2 weeks along. but when we went for our visit and the nurse did an ultrasound, we didn't see the peanut shape with a heartbeat that we were expecting. instead we saw a head, a body, arms, hands, fingers...woah! so they scheduled us for a real ultrasound today to determine how far along the baby really is and a more accurate due date. so instead of being due on the fourth of july, we are due on june 9th! that's right, the baloches are expecting our second and we are so excited! elise will have a little brother or sister only 17 months younger than her! and for those of you wondering...as of now, we're planning to find out the gender this time (that should be around january or so). praise God for another little life!

How exciting Shana! So when we saw you guys a month ago, you were pregnant and didn't even know it! Fun! Our two oldest are almost 17 months apart...a little less. They are such great friends now and want to be with each other all the time. Congratulations!

Congratulations! That is so exciting! I think Jill and i can tell you that you will need to get as much rest as you can now, because when baby #2 comes it is a whirlwind! Kyle and Maddie are 15 months apart and it is tough but SOOOOOOO worth it! Maddie is such a little mom and a great helper. A baby is so wonderful!! I wish you all the best:)

Congratulations! I wanted to recommend a book I think you'll love. The Miracle of Me. It’s written from the unborn baby’s perspective about how the baby grows and develops. God is sited as the ultimate miracle maker. It's a great child-friendly tool for explaining fetal development for families. Uses in-utero photography and rulers/scales so you can the baby’s progress. I got it to read to my young daughter but have a soft spot in my heart for it myslf. A must have for any Mom or Dad, particularly when they are expecting #2+. I love how it reinforces that each of us what chosen/crafted by God. You'll love it!
