detox the house

so we were recently introduced to a company called Melaleuca.  they claim to sell products free of chemicals, cheaper than the grocery store, and more green for the environment.  sounded too good to be true.  but we're trying it out.  they especially got me hooked with a lotion they sell that has been proven to be seven times more effective than eucerin for eczema...and we're in desperate need of something that will clear up isaac's skin.  so...

we signed up and ordered one of the starter kits, which came with not only cleaning and laundry products,  but health and beauty care products, as well as a few food/nutrition items.  our first step...clear out all the chemical laden stuff and replace.  so here we go...here's what we got rid of.  i have to admit, it felt good.  i'm excited at the prospect of using natural products in all areas of the house and seeing how it will affect us.  with elise's rough winter, my interest was also peaked when they talked about the three main weakening agents of the immune system being sugar, environmental toxins, and nutritional deficiency...how's that for making you feel overwhelmed...anyway, i'll keep you posted on the journey.
