she's just growing up so quickly!! she is still such an observer, but lately i've seen her coming out of her shell more quickly in group settings. she's getting crazy with her cousins and even presents a challenge to jonas these days! she loves her brother, though we're working quite regularly on "being gentle" with him (though i keep having this pressing thought in the back of my mind, that not very long from now...i may have to be reminding him to do the same with her...) she's very artistic and now loves to just sit and color with crayons, pencils, pens, markers...and of course, paint! here she is making one of her masterpieces. this one's for daddy. most of them are either for daddy or uncle paul :)
and she's also developing that girl's sense of wanting to dress herself. here is the pajama ensemble she insisted on wearing the other night...and to top it off, she wore this get up with a pair of grey and pink striped socks all the next day too. i smile seeing her personality come through and watching her blossom into this sweet, spunky, loving, thoughtful, intelligent little girl. if it weren't for her, i would have forgotten to get juice at the store today. if it weren't for her, cake making wouldn't be nearly as much fun. and if it weren't for her, i wouldn't have laughed out loud at dinner tonight as she told me that she was the adult, i was the girl, and she was going to help make daddy's birthday cake (even if she didn't finish her dinner...)
