pumpkin picking

pumpkin picking lasted two days for us this year.  on saturday, we discovered that elise does not like hayrides, so that idea got scrapped.  so, instead we went to a local farm stand and let the kids wander and pick pumpkins that way.  way more fun...and way more cost effective!  we got 9 pumpkins for $7!!!  if you want to know where it is, just let me know!  if we had gone to the other farms in the area we would have spent $20-$30.  after picking those pumpkins, the kids painted them on saturday.  justin and i carved that night after they went to bed.  and then on sunday, mimi and grampy came over and painted the rest of the pumpkins with us.  very fun times.  oh how i love fall.
(and p.s. lisey learned how to wink as you will see :)

this is so cute Shana! And what a great idea to have your mom over for painting pumpkins... I think I'll invite my mom over for the same thing next year, she'd love it! I love Lisey's wink... she is adorable!
